what i'll be cooking this weekend (8.10.12)

With so many amazing and gorgeous recipes floating around the web recently, I have a list about five miles long of things I want to try, starting this weekend. I thought I would share some of my favs with you because A) friends share, and B) now I have another way I can keep track of all these fab recipes. So, here they are. Hopefully you'll try a few of these too this weekend :]

Saturday morning we have a few guests staying over, so though I might surprise them (& Michael) by making this cheeseless crustless quiche by Shanna and Tim of Food Loves Writing. Who doesn't love quiche for breakfast, but who needs all the extra cheese first thing in the morning. Their simple kale and eggs have also got me inspired.

For lunch on Saturday, I'm definitely making this fabulous summer panzanella salad by Laura from The First Mess. Be sure to check out her super cute video too. You'll fall in love.

On Saturday, if it is warm and sunny (fingers crossed), then I'll be making a pitcher of this gogi ginger lemonade by the always wonderful Sarah of My New Roots

Saturday night, I'm just dying to have a taco party. I don't know if it is all of the great taco recipes I've been stumbling on recently that are subliminally sending me the taco party vibe, but I am insisting on having one this weekend. These awesome eggplant tacos by Erin of The Forest Feast will definitely be on the menu. Also, I need to try these beautiful roasted vegetable tacos with avocado cream and feta by Erin of Naturally Ella. Her chipotle sweet potato tacos will probably make their way to the taco party as well.

As you might know, I have a thing for pancakes. Especially on Sunday mornings. I've been eyeing these delightful looking Blueberry Lemon Yogurt Pancakes from Kate of Cookie and Kate. Sounds like the perfect Sunday pancake to me.

And, if I am not too tired of doing dishes, I might whip up some thai iced tea and vegan ginger ice cream sandwiches by local milk for a little Sunday evening indulgence.

Happy Cooking!
